TikTok needs a US buyer so bad it might seek out Elon Musk

Beijing-based ByteDance was given the ultimatum in April when US President Joe Biden signed into law the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act (PAFACA).

President Joe Biden reportedly won't enforce the U.S. TikTok ban, leaving it up to President-elect Donald Trump to make the final call on the popular video-sharing app's immediate future.

The move, which could halt enforcement for up to 90 days, comes as his administration prepares to tackle one of the most controversial tech decisions of the outgoing Biden presidency.

The move is under discussion as the Chinese-owned app faces a Sunday deadline to find a new buyer or shut down in the United States.
