Five exchanges between the two sides have freed 21 hostages and 730 prisoners so far.
Jerusalem: Hamas on Monday announced it would stop releasing Israeli hostages until further notice over what the Palestinian militant group called Israeli violations of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, raising the risk of reigniting the conflict.
Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, cited observing violations of the agreement over the past three weeks, including delaying the return of the displaced to the northern Gaza Strip, not allowing relief supplies to enter, and shelling and gunfire in various areas of the strip.
Israel called the move a "complete violation" of the ceasefire, and has put the military on high alert.
