When we are talking about non-tariff retaliation, it could be about restricting supply, it could be putting our own export duties on products. It could be energy and minerals, it could be broader than that,
We will never be able to trust the United States in the same way that we did three months ago,
If we end up subject to significant export tariffs from Canada, or they’re unwilling to send energy, that certainly impacts the reliability of the grid here,
Let's all get in a room and start negotiating that,
Clearly we're seeing a significant amount of volatility and a tremendous amount of underperformance in some of the smaller and mid-sized exploration and production companies,
Ultimately, we think (tariffs and the trade war are) going to be long-term positive for the Canadian industry, because it will force them to look outside the U.S. and diversify their export markets into Asia,
We think that it needs to be consolidated, given how fragmented the industry is, and we think we have a number of poor-performing management teams and boards which are preoccupied with growing production instead of generating shareholder value,
We want to de-escalate the situation,
Drop your tariffs and let's get back to business."
I think that we should have a zero tariff on this critical resource,
